The Netherlands Forum for Biomedical Imaging (NFBI) aims to manifest itself as a representative of Dutch Biomedical image analysis research and development at the national, European and worldwide level.  Therefore, the NFBI provides a platform for exchange of scientific research in biomedical image analysis by promoting the exchange of knowledge, skills, and experience in this area within and between academic groups, medical specialists and industry in the Netherlands.

The main goals are:

• Improve the scientific level of Dutch Medical Imaging
  • organizing symposia and conferences
  • organizing workshops
  • organizing courses
• Stimulate collaborations
  • between image-processing specialists, physicians and industry
  • to submit grants
• Encourage knowledge exchange
  • sending around the latest news, events and developments
  • supporting its members if needed

By exploiting the unique position of Medical Imaging in the Netherlands, where all Medical Imaging Groups are located within 150 km within each other, the NFBI is dedicated to stimulate biomedical image analysis research and innovation, and to further strengthen the position of Dutch academia and industry in this field.
