The research of the chair Signals and Systems group is on signal analysis and processing. Signals are considered to be carriers of information. Systems are characterized, analyzed and designed aiming at the processing of signals. The research concentrates in Sensory Data Analysis and Image Processing, with focus on pattern recognition and image processing in biometrics and medical imaging. The interest in imaging lies in the combination of anatomical structures with function data.
